Prince Edward Island's Bill 27, Gift Cards Act, was introduced to the Legislative Assembly on April 8, 2010, and received royal assent on May 19, 2010. The new Act introduces rules for the issuing of gift cards — most partiuclarly the elimination of expiry dates.
