Member Notice: Re: Eco-fees in Ontario — RCC Update to Members Only (as of July 22, 2010)

On July 1, 2010, the Government of Ontario launched Phase Two of its Municipal Hazardous and Special Waste (MHSW) program. The MHSW Program was implemented in two phases. Phase One, with nine material categories, began in July 2008. The expanded program (referred to as Phase Two, which was launched July 2010, included a total of 22 material categories. Materials designated in Phase One and Phase Two carried with them steward fees.
