Member Notice: Nova Scotia Minimum Wage Moves to $9.65, Effective October 1

Nova Scotia's Department of Labour and Workforce Development has issued a reminder to Nova Scotians that the province's minimum wage rate will increase from $9.20 to $9.65 per hour ($9.15/hr for inexperienced workers) on Oct. 1, 2010. The rate change was originally announced in February 2010 as a two-stage increase, with the first increase having taken place in April 2010.
