Labour Minister Introduces Amendments to Retail Holiday Closing Act

RCC has been successful in lobbying the Manitoba government to allow retailers in the province to be open for extended hours on December 26, 2010. Labour Minister Jennifer Howard has introduced Bill 4 — The Retail Businesses Holiday Closing Amendment Act which will eliminate restrictions on the hours retailers can be open when Boxing Day falls on a Sunday, such as this year.
