Member Notice: Manitoba Introduces Franchises Act
New legislation imposes duties and obligations on retail franchisees

Recently, the Manitoba government introduced Bill 15 — The Franchises Act. The Bill is modelled on The Uniform Franchises Act which was prepared by the Uniform Law Conference of Canada and similar provincial legislation already in place in Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
