Member Notice: Updated Training Course Now Available for LPO Licensing in B.C.
Reminder: Retailers must have affected staff trained and licensed by June 1, 2009

Effective June 1, 2009, most Loss Prevention Officers and retail security staff employed in British Columbia will require a licence from the provincial government. In order to be granted this licence, LPOs must pass a Basic Skills Training (BST) course, or equivalent. The Justice Institute of British Columbia will begin offering a new 40 hour in-person and online BST course as of March 1, 2009.
